I offer my expert services to organizations to get a deep understanding about direct and indirect impacts of their activity and products to our planet and people. I have long experience in methods and tools, such as life cycle assessment, environmental and carbon footprint, environmental product declarations. I am your ally to achieve a full awareness about your impacts on climate change and other global threats.

Education and dissemination are also part of my activity. I believe in innovative and involving solutions to sensibilize even children and families. My mission is to increase consciousness about having a planet where everyone is a key decision maker by thinking in life cycles.

About

My name is Balazs SARA, I am an environmental expert in methods and tools applying life cycle approach.  In the last >25 years I have worked in various industry sectors and product categories having supported large multinational companies, small- and medium sized enterprises, institutes and universities in their life cycle assessment (LCA), environmental product declaration (EPD), carbon footprint of products (CFP), life cycle costing (LCC) or ecodesign activities.  I work also as an EPD, CFP and LCA-Tool verifier on behalf of ICMQ SpA and as an expert evaluator and reviewer of the European Commission.

Since 2018 I have been offering my consulting and training services as an independent life cycle specialist, while previously I worked in professional teams with international reputation: I was technical director of the Italian-Hungarian subsidiary of PE International consulting company (currently Sphera); trainer and representative of the GaBi databases and software systems; founder and manager of the FEBE Ecologic consulting firm; collaborator at ENEA research institute and Bologna University.

Do you want to carry out a life cycle based study and have no expertise? I support the different phases of your work: goal and scoping, data collection, life cycle modelling, impact assessment, interpretation of results and reporting.

SUPERVISING

Do you want to become a life cycle expert? The best way is “learning by doing”! If you have a study I can follow your work step by step and supervise all challenging methodological issues, including data collection, modelling and reporting.

TRAINING

Do you search a trainer concerning life cycle studies and footprinting? I offer presentations, courses and workshops for beginners and decision makers.

Education

I strongly believe in the importance of environmental education and sensibilization of “non experts”, including children and families.

A very effective way of knowledge dissemination is the live performance of stories and tales. A  magical atmosphere and community are created where it becomes natural to discuss about our Planet, our role and responsability.

I manage plays and theatre in education events based on the expressive forces of tales, poetry, puppets and live acting. They can be performed in different conditions, such as public or corporate events, cultural centres, kindergartens, schools, libraries, festivals.

I work in collaboration with the sáralabor artisitic-educative laboratory.
